This site will be 100% finished and active by the end of November. There are a few things I am waiting on, most of which I cannot accomplish until the end of November.

One of the last design elements I need to finalize is the background – or, what I am going to do about / with the background. To be honest, I am becoming more comfortable with the white background with every page refresh. At the same time, I want some color on the canvas; though I need to be careful not to be too distracting with a background. The focus of this site is the content.

It won’t be much longer until I start posting regular updates. There is a lot going on up in muh noggin’ that needs hashing out.

I recently found this gem of a resource through a link of a link of a link on some website.

I highly recommend it to anybody thinking about writing something that someone else will read.

http://www.dansimmons.com/writing_welll/archive/writing_index.htm

In other news, I am putting the finishing touches on my site’s design framework. Doing something yourself, not completely from scratch, is a fun and satisfying process. I liken my site design experience to the childhood “Mad Libs” games. While not as easy as a fill in the the blank slate, having a predefined canvas with which to paint is a good thing.

It’s about knowing your bounds and your limits and having guidance. Having guidance helps me to understand what it is I want. I’m the type of person that needs to know exactly and specifically what I want out of a design or project or piece of self composed music. For me, the reward is in the means – I can’t have the means without the ends, so it makes logical sense that I know what the ends are.

Guidance, definition, plans, fun.

5. Post your day on the website.

Yes, this has been my day today. As unproductive as the last one and as prophetical as the next one.

Sometimes, the pause button is pressed on your life. Sometimes, it’s stuck for a few years. What is important is to plan for moment you press play. It’s preparation time. Time to condition yourself to be stronger then you were, mentally and physically. You can never go back, but you can always choose to go forward. In that choice your power lies: to act.

What have you done today?

There are even literal prices on forgiveness; a piece of jewelry, flowers, even time.

The real cost of forgiveness, however, is priceless: sincerity!

(….but it can be sold….hmmm, flawed logic is flawed…)

I’ve been keeping a regular journal (for leisure) for the past couple of years. All of my entries have been in one location: a now worn in, black, lined Moleskine notebook. You know, the notebooks of Picasso and Hemingway? There’s a lot of ink on these pages and it still isn’t full – but it’s getting there. Now that I’m coming to the end of this notebook that has literally accompanied me around the world, I feel like getting all retrospective. Being ADD, it’s an accomplishment until itself that I have maintained this log-of-sorts for as long as I have.

From time to time, I’ll share what I’ve written, as most of the stories are of an extremely personal and introspective nature.

“Oh sweet hypocrisy. You never fail to find a moment in my day to show your familiar face. I will never be lonely knowing you are always around the corner. All I have to do is look around the room to find you. My trusted friend, my life-long companion. How bitter sweet our parting will be. The moment will come, like it does in all things.”
